The basement of my home wasn’t always a baby photo studio… not by a long shot. This space has gone through MANY iterations during its time, from a cement-floored storage space, to a fully outfitted apartment that housed a nursing student for a couple of years and then a young married couple who was saving up to buy a home.
For the last six years, however, it has been home to a space that has documented the passage of time all the way from a baby’s earliest newborn days to the celebration of her first birthday and so many moments in between. The studio has seen two month old “newborns”, three month milestones with mama, smiley gummy sitters, breastfeeding sessions, and soooo many cake smashes.
One of the best features of the Liz Viernes Photography baby photo studio is its ability to be so versatile. There is an incredible LED light wall that emulates daylight perfectly – it’s always sunny when the LEDs are on, even in the darkest part of night!
Another crowd-pleaser is the big white bed surrounded by sheer white curtains. The bed has been used for lifestyle posing of newborns, family posing in newborn or cake smash photos, and as a comfortable, roomy spot for brand new sitters to perch for their close-ups!
There is also a posing station for newborns and a gray flooring area that gives a different look for newborn prop posing or for baby sessions when parents want a non-white background. Rounding out the studio, there’s a private bathroom and a parent seating area. The space is the perfect size for a baby photo studio!
