January was chock full of posed newborns in studio this year. Winter is usually always heavier on the newborns than anything else but, for some reason, this January was crazier than ever (not complaining – totally loved it). The spread of due dates I had scheduled should have ensured about 2 babies per week (I had 7 on the calendar with a surprise tossed in at the last minute). But we all know that babies are rarely born on their due dates (except one actually was!!) and a handful were born within days of each other. One baby was induced 3 weeks early, one came a couple weeks late – and then we had that surprise baby I mentioned…she called me on a Monday and baby was scheduled for that Thursday. Shew! It was a whirlwind around here for a couple weeks.

For the first time ever, I had multiple posed newborns in studio each week. That is in addition to the pre-scheduled sitter and cake smash sessions. I definitely like to keep at least one day between newborns, not only to allow the hospital grade virus and bacteria killing component of our HVAC system to do it’s work but also to save my back!!

One of those posed newborns in studio was Mr Leo. Not only was Leo incredibly handsome and well-behaved, his momma also impressed me so much. She scheduled WAY back in July and kept in touch throughout her pregnancy. She communicated with me about any detail that might affect her session’s timing. She was SO reliable and prompt. She followed my prep instructions to a tee. I basically loved everything about this session and the finished product makes me want to squeal with happiness.

I hope Leo’s momma also wants to squeal with happiness. He was an amazing way to cap off an extremely busy January.
