Are you ready for a gorgeous Annapolis beach maternity session? Sydney got in touch with me after I met her friend and doula, Brittney, of Destination Baby. Pregnant with her second baby, Sydney reached out about having maternity photos done now and newborn photos done when her baby arrives later on this summer. The day of their maternity session – the only day that her husband Justin could make it due to work constraints – arrived rainy and chilly. We had a bunch of frantic texts and phone calls that day and one spur-of-the-moment trip to Baltimore to check out a possible indoor location but, in the end, Sydney decided she wanted to stick with the original plan to have a beach maternity session. Justin, God bless him, only wants Sydney to be happy so he rearranged his schedule and we met up the following day to capture an absolutely stunning momma-to-be (and her own beautiful mom as well) in the beach maternity photos she dreamed of.
“When God closes a door, he always opens a window” (The Sound of Music). Such has been the saga of this pregnancy for Sydney and Justin. They have a walked a long road in their journey to parenthood, a journey that started with baby Jonah last summer. Sadly, Jonah was too perfect for this world and went on to live in heaven which paved the way for Sophia to be conceived in God’s perfect timing. While this pregnancy hasn’t been the easiest and the news has been scary at times, Sydney has held her head up and is focused on the day when she can hold her precious baby girl in her arms. Until then, I know she would appreciate any prayers for sweet baby Sophia, specifically that she arrive healthy and full-term. Thank you, Sydney and Justin, for trusting me with your memories 💗
