Ahhh, this family. How special they are to me. They are part of a network of close-knit friends, many of whom have come to me for photos, and the support I have received from Sarah is just mind-blowing. Plus she is basically the world’s sweetest, most easy-to-get-along-with person who is always going out of her way to build people up and make them feel great about themselves. She and her boys (I include her husband John in that category – in the best way) are really great people to know and spend time with so I was delighted when she contacted me about doing a special baseball photo session to commemorate Jack’s first double-digit birthday. They’re soon going to be moving down south and I’m really going to miss them.
Having already worked with them to do older brother Drew’s senior photos two years ago, I knew I was in for a good time and they didn’t disappoint. We met up at a local Burtonsville baseball field and spent an hour or so taking pictures of Jack engaging in his favorite pastime. The guy was a complete heartbreaker with those eyes and that handsome smile – he did everything I asked of him (and, truth-moment, I can be fairly bossy) and thrilled me with his good-natured acceptance of all of my photographer whims – which included rapid-fire demands of smiles interspersed with stink-face (“glare at me like you’re facing your worst enemy”). He did it all and I’m so proud of him. I think his photos came out amazing – all due to his awesomeness. Happy 10, Jack 💙You ROCKED your baseball photo session.
