I LOVED Navaal’s mom when I talked to her the first time. She sounded so sweet and friendly over the phone and I just knew that I was going to love spending time with her while getting some amazing posed shots of her newborn baby boy. Flash forward to the day of their shoot – after they’d been at my house for 20 minutes (which just goes to show that once I get into working with a newborn, my concentration is solely on that task) – and I realize that her husband, Sharath, looks really familiar. Yep, turns out, guys, that we went to high school together and it took me that long to realize it, oops! It’s a small world – Paint Branch High School for the win!
Sharath was a year behind me and we had many of the same friends so we spent some time reminiscing and then I got back to their gorgeous son who really stole the show. He slept like a dream – thanks to his mama following my pre-session instructions to a T – and gave me some of the cutest grins and sweetest little yawns…I just love the images we captured of him. Thank you, Arjoo and Sharath, for bringing me your beautiful boy! It’s a small world and I’m glad I’m the newborn photographer you found in it!
