Baby’s First Year : Fresh 48 Session
The Fresh 48 session is a wonderful way to document the first hours of a baby’s life, the very beginning of baby’s first year. It takes place within the first 48 hours after birth, capturing the genuine emotions and tender connections shared by the family. In Remi’s case, this session took place in the hospital but I can go to a birthing center or your home…wherever you give birth, I will go! I just love Fresh 48s. The tiny newborn is surrounded by the love and excitement of their family members and it’s my job to capture all the precious details, such as wrinkled toes, tiny fingers grasping onto parents’ hands, and the awe-struck expressions of big siblings meeting the baby for the first time. Fresh 48 photography documents the sheer wonder and overwhelming emotions that come with the arrival of a brand new family member.
Baby’s First Year : Newborn Session
The newborn photography session typically takes place within the first two weeks of the baby’s life. During this period, babies are still in their sleepier and more curled-up state, allowing me to capture those adorable poses that reflect the delicate innocence of such a tiny new life. These sessions take place in a calm and serene setting, either in your home or my studio, with soft lighting and carefully chosen props to enhance the overall aesthetic. I focus on capturing baby’s tiny features, from the button nose to the velvety soft skin, providing parents with a timeless reminder of just how small and precious their little one was during those fleeting early days. Baby’s First Year: Sitter Session
Is it fair to have a favorite type of session? If so, I’ll admit to loving the sitter session the most. It’s hard to go wrong with a sitter session. Babies are typically super smiley and have no fear of strangers. With mom or dad present, the time flies by in a whirlwind of adorable expressions, sweet smiles, and little hands grasping little feet in the sweetest, cutest way. The sitter session is best done when the baby has perfected their sit but isn’t yet crawling. Remi, the baby featured in the other sections, didn’t have a sitter session done, but you can see Santi’s gorgeous session here.
Baby’s First Year : First Birthday Session
And then, before you know it, baby turns ONE. The first year of a baby’s life is a whirlwind of growth and development, and the birthday session is the final puzzle piece, allowing parents to witness their baby’s transformation from a tiny bundle of joy to an energetic and curious toddler. These milestone sessions provide a beautiful visual narrative of the baby’s growth, showcasing her unique personality and the love and joy she brings into her family’s life.
