Last year, my photographer friend, Christina, and I got together and took some epic cherry blossom photos in Columbia for each other. We found a great place in Columbia, MD, and, despite the fact that thousands of people walk through this area every day, no one was around. We had the place to ourselves and a beautiful, light, bright cherry blossom background. It was heaven and the pictures are hanging on my bedroom wall so I can obsess over the images of my girls and me whenever I want 😍
But, see, this pilgrimage last year wasn’t just to get great personal photos. It was actually a scouting exercise to see whether this spot would be ideal for Cherry Blossom photos in Columbia for my clients this year – and it passed the test with flying colors! It’s definitely an exercise in patience – you know, waiting forever for the cherry blossoms to blooms but then rush, rush, rushing to get everything (outfits, schedules) organized to get the photos done while the blooms are still out. It’s not for the faint of heart – and my clients knew that they wouldn’t have much notice (maybe a week, maybe only a few days) but this next momma, one of my faves, had her heart set on these photos and nothing – not even Covid-19 – was going to prevent her from some Mommy and Me cherry blossom photos in Columbia.
