Birth to First Year Photos | Maryland Newborn Photographer

If you’ve visited the details page of my website recently, you’ll see that one of the package offerings is something called the First Year Membership, otherwise known as birth to first year photos. This is a photography package that follows your baby’s first year milestones, from those tiny, precious newborn days, to the sitter stage (6-8 months old, sitting independently) and is finally capped off with cake smash photos of your brand new one year old!! I personally and selfishly wish all new parents would purchase this package because I love following your sweet baby through their first year. As you’ll see below with sweet Gabriela, it is astonishing to see the growth in that first year – how is it possible that those tiny features will grow so much in such a short span of time while still looking exactly the same?!? It boggles the mind.

Disclaimer: I have not done well this year with blogging each session immediately after it has happened – this was one of my New Years’ Resolutions for 2019 and I failed spectacularly (I blame homeschooling. Yes. We’ll go with that.). However. I’m going to break my dismal streak with this blog post because I’ve known since shooting Gaby’s gorgeous, clean, bright lifestyle newborn session that I wanted to do a comparison post of her birth to first year photos. I even used some of the same props in her one year photos as I did in her sitter session because I wanted some continuity between the two occasions (even I amazed myself with my attention to detail). You will see the same white flowers in each session, the same pearls in each session (and her immediate and identical reactions to the pearls 😂) and well as her propensity to present me with her back because I was no where near as interesting as whatever was behind her. #sofunny
