Back when I started my photography business, I had no idea that my heart would lead me to wish that my name would come up first if someone ever googled “newborn photographer near me”. I really didn’t know that I would end up specializing in maternity, motherhood, newborn and first year milestones photography. At the time, I took any job that came my way and was grateful for it. I’ll be honest, I didn’t love all of the portrait sessions. And – even more honestly – I wasn’t really very good. I hadn’t yet figured out my style. I didn’t know how to edit the way I do now. I didn’t know what my passion was going to be so I just put my head down, did it all and tried to learn as much as I could in the process.
Thankfully, the narrative has changed. I’ve been in business for over two years. I’ve shot a LOT of different things and I’ve learned that my heart is with the babies and the mommas. I’ve taken a bunch of classes from several different photographers whose work I appreciate and admire. I’ve developed a bright and airy style that makes my eyes happy when I see it. I know what I like and I work hard to achieve it every single time. That’s why, when Alicia searched “newborn photographer near me” on Instagram, and my profile showed up, I found my ideal client (and hopefully she would say that she found her ideal photographer – but you’d have to ask her).
Let me tell you why Alicia and her family are an ideal LVP client. When I talk to a prospective lifestyle newborn client about their session, the topics we discuss to ensure a successful and beautiful session are very specific. I’m looking for a home with plenty of natural light coming through the windows. I’m looking for light, neutral-colored walls and decor. I will guide you to choose outfits that are light in color (cream, white, light pink, light gray, light blue) with a classic, timeless style. The DiPiazza family hit all these key points perfectly.
Sweet newborn Lila was sleepy and dreamy. Adorable big sister Audrey was in LOVE with the camera (or maybe the camera was in love with her). Alicia and Jake snuggled up together and canoodled and cherished their precious babies, looking like a couple in a magazine ad in the process. Their decor was neutral and airy, the rooms were big and light-filled, they took instruction like champions to ensure that the resulting photos looked natural and unposed – like a family beautifully adjusting to becoming a brand new family of four.
A newborn photographer near me’s happy place is walking away from a newborn session (in this case, an amazing lifestyle newborn session), feeling 100% confident that the photos she got are phenomenal. A newborn photographer near me‘s happy place is delivering a session that she feels is her best, to date. A newborn photographer near me‘s happy place is spending 2 1/2 hours with people who feel like friends by the end, who trust her vision and who make her job effortlessly easy with a combination of their sweet personalities, beautiful home and photogenic selves. All of these pieces came together with the DiPiazza family earlier this summer.
Thank you, Alicia and Jake, for trusting me with your memories ❤️I would love to see your family again anytime.

Oh I absolutely LOVE this session. You have captured this family so well and what a sweet baby girl and her sister 🙂
This is a dream session Liz. I can see why they were your ideal client. I especially love the pic of dad looking in on his girls from the nursery door!!! Absolutely beautiful work.
These are so perfect! Love how much you incorporated big sister into such a special session.
These are stunning! I love all the personality from each family member that is captured… but my favorite is the image of dad standing in the doorway. This just captures the essence of being a dad! Wonderful job!
